Evaluations
Evaluations are the first steps in understanding your child’s unique communication needs. During an evaluation, we gather information through play, observation, standardized assessments to create a clear picture of your childs strenghts and areas of growth.
Speech
A comprehensive speech evaluation looks at how clearly your child produces sounds and how it impacts their intelligibility. This process includes formal scoring and a written report outlining the results. Evaluations are designed to identify your child’s unique strengths and challenges typically lasting 30-60 minutes.
Language
A comprehensive language evaluation assesses your child’s receptive and expressive language strengths and challenges using both formal in and informal assessment tools. Language evaluations focus on how your child understands and uses words, sentences and social communication. This evaluation will provide a detailed understanding of your child’s communication abilities, with results outline in a written report.
AAC
AAC evaluations (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) explores tools and strategies, such as communication devices to support children who need extra help expressing themselves. .
Feeding
Feeding evaluations assess how your child chews, swallows, and manages different foods and textures to support safe and enjoyable meal times.
